As hard as it is to make "plain old black metal" in a day and age when the sound has been overly saturated with cheaply face-painted bands that curse at Christians, Dumal might've brought some new life to a stale genre without having to innovate in any way other than feeling fully genuine. Another band from Sweden that adheres to the Swedish school of melodic black metal ? ok. Similar to Dissection and Naglfar but offering somewhat more technical and sophisticated melodies? ok. Very good reviews from other (trusted) BC users? check. Nice cover artwork and irresistible purchase price? I'm in!!

Mikolaj is a real multi-talent in bass as well as guitar as well as vocals and "Darkside" Maciej's drumming is a well-calibrated 100th-of-seconds-clockwork. Not for nothing is Mgla considered as a standard for a lot of other blacker-than-black metal bands. I hope to see this band live once.....
